VW warrantied the repair even with no warranty bc it is apparently a known issue. CEL blinked at idle and was solid while driving. Replaced intake manifold and coil.īecause the dealer did not replace the spark plugs as they were supposed to at the 120k service interval, one of them failed on me and I had to limp into the dealership to have the plugs and coils replaced. Got a check engine light for cylinder 4 misfire. Replaced pump and housings under warranty.īad coil packs. Coil packs replaced and problem was resolved. Test drove with mechanic who diagnosed it as faulty coil packs. Replaced tensioner, timing chain pass-through guides. Dealership pulled engine and diagnosed the problem as timing chain tensioner failure. Took it in for service and the coolant pump was replaced.Ĭar we rough idling and had issues accelerating. There was a small, red liquid leak seen on the ground under the car. There was a loose hose which was tightened up to fix the problem. Under original warranty they had another shop clean the valves.įuel smell coming from vents of car. Had to replace it plus fuel injectors were clogged.ĭealer claimed the valves had carbon build up. Dealer installed the CLIP according to the TSB bulletin, noise still present Rattle sound from engine when turbo kicks in above 2,500 RPM. ![]()
